The Emeryville Aquatic Club is a year-round USA swim team run by the City of Emeryville. Our mission is to provide a well rounded program that implements elite level training as well as emphasizing on building character, teamwork, and fun. We highly encourage swimmers to compete in swim meets. Developmental Team $50R/$55NR Monthly
The Developmental Team will be an introduction to the swim team. This group will focus on learning competitive swimming techniques and concepts, such as interval training.
Junior Team $75R/$80NR
The Junior Team’s focus is to develop efficiency within all four legal strokes – butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle – with proper technique and distance per stroke. Interval training is used much more in this group. Dry-land training will be introduced in this group.
Pre-Senior Team $100R/$105NR
At this stage, swimmers should be goal oriented and dedicated to improving techniques, turns, and underwater speed as well as pacing and pace strategy. Dry-land training becomes more intense and light weight training will be introduced.
Senior team $125R/$130NR
Athletes at this level must display a strong desire to perform at their highest capability. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Weight training and dry-land is much more emphasized. This group must attend all assigned swim meets.

Red Cross Classes
Learn how to save a life and become an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard! After successful completion, the American Red Cross will issue certificates in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Blood Borne Pathogens and Title 22. Bring swimsuit, towel, lifeguard book (receive in class), resuscitation mask (receive in class) and lunch each day. Students will receive more information after completing the prerequisites.
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/ CPR/AED valid for two years.
The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. The aquatic intern program is designed for youth (12-15 years of age) who are interested in becoming lifeguards and WSI, but do not meet the minimum age requirements. This program will help to prepare participants to apply for and work as a professional lifeguard and WSI once they do meet the age requirement. All participants will help to protect the lives and well being of each person using the pool and teach swim lessons at our facility.
Aquatics & Program Class Refund/cancellation Policy
Refunds/Cancellations that are requested within 7 (seven) days prior to the scheduled lesson or class will be permitted.* Make-up swim lessons will not be granted if unable to attend. A refund will not be given. If weather conditions are deemed too severe for all lessons, by a lead/supervisor, a refund will be reimbursed for that missed lesson. *A $10.00 (ten dollars) administrative fee will be charged, per customer, if requesting a refund/cancellation. The administrative fee will be deducted from the refund.
